Summary:
How do I add a comment to the syslog.dat while Citect is running? 

Solution:
In the Citect kernel, enter "write log pulling cable out now" .

This will add an entry into the syslog.dat file, e.g.

Mon Feb 16 15:23:12

Kernel "write log"> "pulling cable out now"

This will allow you or Citect support to see what was happening prior to some

event.
