Applies To:
  • CitectSCADA 5.42A, 5.50
  • CitectHMI 5.42A, 5.50

Summary:
I have recently installed / upgraded to CitectSCADA v5.50r0 and ever since the upgrade, I am seeing the 'Trend has missed samples' hardware alarm.

Solution:
To work around this issue we can set the parameter MissedSamplesAlarmTime to 0 in the configuration file, which will ignore any 'Trend has missed samples' hardware alarms. You can open the CITECT.INI file using Notepad or any text editor. By default, it is located at C:\WINDOWS\CITECT.INI. Once the configuration file is open, find the [TREND] section in the INI file and add the following parameter:

[TREND]

MissedSamplesAlarmTime=0

Citect has confirmed this to be a problem in CitectHMI/SCADA version 5.50r0. We are researching this problem and will post new information here as it becomes available.

This problem is fixed in the next release of CitectHMI/SCADA.
