Summary:
Immediately after upgrading from CitectSCADA v5.40r0 to v5.50r0, the message "Cannot open file oid.dbf" appears as a Windows error popup.  

Solution:
Open the oid.dbf file located in the project folder under the user directory in Citect's directory tree and add the following details to the file:

Add the word "VARIABLE" in cell 2A and the number 3000 in cell 2B.

Pack and compile (with incremental compile option off).

Please note:

If you have include projects, each of the oid.dbfs in each of the include project folders under the user directory also need to be altered in order for the problem to be resolved.
