Summary:
When using applications that utilise Microsoft's MDAC, Citect HMI/SCADA leaks memory. This may manifest itself from the use of CtAPI or applications that use it or the use of database routines from within Citect or attached DLLs.  

Solution:
This is spoken of in Microsoft KB article KB312575.

The problem occurs in MDAC v2.5. The solution is to upgrade to the latest version.
