Summary:
I have a DDE client that is logging String tags that can sometimes have NULL string entries.

This results in the spurious error of the form

Solution:
Citect has confirmed this to be a problem in CitectHMI/SCADA versions v5.42 to v5.50 Spk A. This problem has been fixed in version 6.
