Summary:
I have a device that talks Modnet. I have used the Citect communication wizard to set up this Modnet device. I can ping the device OK, however this device does not come online in CitectSCADA.

Solution:
Using normal Citect communication wizard the address field for the I/O Device form is left blank i.e. 0. Some /O Devices require the value of 1 in the address field of the I/O Device form. Reason being, these devices have an ethernet to Modbus converter built in them. Address of the Modbus device on the other end of the converter is 1 by default.
