Summary:
When using the legacy string type object from Citect Graphics Builder 4.xx, the value #RANGE is displayed even though I have not set [Page]RangeCheck = 1.

#RANGE is displayed on an object at runtime if:

• the tag to be displayed is set to a value outside the range specified by that tag,

• the expression used to determine which text is to be displayed contains a tag that is set to a value outside the range specified by that tag.

The default value of [Page]RangeCheck=0 so range checking is disabled by default.

 

Solution:
Citect has confirmed this to be a problem in CitectHMI/SCADA versions 5.XX. This problem has been fixed in version 6.00.
