Summary:
When using the DspInfoField() Cicode function an empty string is returned and a hardware alarm is raised. The hardware alarm is "File does not exist. DspInfo Field. Variable.ndx".

This is caused if there is not an index file for variable.dbf in the project directory or one of its included project directories.

 

Solution:
Re-index the variable.dbf file in the directory where the variable.ndx file is missing using a dbase3 compatible utility.
