Summary:
When attempting to open pages in Citect Graphics Builder, the Graphics Builder window closes unexpectedly when loading objects. No Crash log is created and no exception error is generated. The same thing occurs when updating pages.

Solution:
Citect is aware of an issue that exhibits the behaviour described.

This issue is caused by a heap corruption in the stack. To address this, Citect recommends that its customers who experience this problem are to backup their projects and ini file to a safe location. They should then use the "Add/Remove Programs" option in Microsoft's Control Panel. Following this the following items should be deleted manually:

Program Files\Citect
Program Files\Common Files\Citect
Windows\Citect.ini

The computer system should then be restarted and a fresh install of Citect put on the machine. The customer can then restore their projects. These actions should resolve the issue.

Citect has confirmed this to be a problem in CitectHMI/SCADA version 5.XX to 6.XX. We are researching this problem and will post new information here as it becomes available.

Note: After uninstalling Citect you may need to remove the 'Data', 'Bin', 'User' and 'Ci Technologies' folder manually, then reinstall Citect using the default folder locations which are specified during installation.
