Summary:
When connecting to the Citect Internet server using an Internet Display Client, the following error message is received:
Error: "Cannot open a project as a project is not selected"

What is causing this and how can it be resolved?

Solution:
The error: "No project is selected" is not directly caused by CitectSCADA or the project configuration. It turns out that the problem is caused by Windows security settings. It appears that this error will occur if the the currently logged in user does not have full control for the project directory created on the IDC machine. By default, the security for a standard user who has not created the project folder is read-only. Because the IDC needs to download files from the server, the logged on user must have "Write" access to the folder. Please check the security settings on the IDC project folder on the IDC machine and change the permissions to "Full" control. Alternatively, you could logon to the machine with Administrator privileges.
