Summary:
The Sentinel Protection Installer v7.2.1 installs a service called "Sentinel Protection Server". With this service running the following issues can be experienced:

1. CitectSCADA server would "lock-up" after 8-24 hours of running normally.
2. CitectSCADA server would spontaneously reboot after 8-24 hours of running normally.

The Sentinel Protection Server can create TCP and UDP sockets and destroy them in a very rapid manner (at least 1/sec). We believe that this can eventually cause a TCP/IP stack or memory problem.
 

Solution:
Disable the "Sentinel Protection Server" service by manually stopping it and setting the startup type to "Manual".
