Summary:
I am using the PSDirect driver to communicate to my S7 series PLC. Upon starting CitectSCADA I get a message error:

“Cannot find file <CiTect>\Bin\SIXSTSR.DLL:error=126”

This will also cause CitectSCADA to periodically crash when starting up, thus creating an exception report log.
What is the cause of this error and how do I fix this? 
 

Solution:
This error is due to incorrect installation path of the PsDirect backend driver.
The correct installation path must be in the “Citect\Bin” Directory.
Installing the backend driver in the correct location will fix this error message and corresponding symptoms.
