  • CitectHMI 6.10, 6.10 Service Pack A

Summary:
CitectSCADA is failing to install the localized CitectSCADA V6.10 on localized platforms and installs the English version instead.

Solution:
In CitectSCADA V6.10, the installer has changed and it can detect the locale of the Windows operating system automatically. The Localized languages of windows that are supported by Citect SCADA are German, French, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese and Spanish. On these localized versions, the installer will install the localized version of CitectSCADA. For languages other than above supported languages, CitectSCADA will install the English version instead.

If you find that the installer is installing the English version instead of the localized version, you need to check that the non-Unicode program setting in Control Panel/Regional setting/Advanced tab is for the correct localized language. CitectSCADA installer is based on this setting and uses it to detect the language of your operating system.

If you plan to install English version of CitectSCADA on localized platforms, you can choose to install English source during installation page. If instead you want to change to the English version after installing the localized CitectSCADA, you need to remove the CitectSCADA product from control Panel/Add/Remove program first, then re-install CitectSCADA again and choose English source instead.
