Summary:
When running an installer, for example the installer for a CitectSCADA driver, a dialog appears which states "An error (-5006: 0x80004005) has occurred while running the setup. Please make sure you have finished any previous setup and closed other applications. If the error still occurs, please contact your vendor..."

I am certain no other setup is running on the machine. 


Solution:
This error typically occurs on machines running Terminal Services and relates to a known issue in InstallShield 10.5 as listed in http://support.installshield.com/kb/view.asp?articleid=Q111370 under note '1-WLKX5'.

To avoid the error, either update to InstallShield 11 (or later) or install the application by first entering the Control Panel's 'Add/Remove Programs' interface.

Select 'CD or Floppy' and browse to the location of the installer. Choose 'Programs' for the file type in order to show the installer executable, then open it.

Then just run through the installer as normal.
