Summary:
If [ALARM]SaveStyle=4 is set in the citect.ini file, a Hardware Alarm "alarm tag synchronise error" will be generated. Is this a problem? Is there actually an alarm tag synchronisation error?

Solution:
The Hardware Alarm generated is a "warning" indicating that you are using SaveStyle=4 (Tag name instead of Record ID). This does not mean that there is actually an alarm synchronisation error, especially since the Hardware Alarm may occur on a standalone Server.

It is possible to remove this Hardware Alarm by setting the following Citect.ini parameter:

[ALARM]
HwExclude=311
