Summary:
I am experiencing slow communications when using a multiport serial board. It seems as though when I communicate through the onboard COM port on the PC the communications is performing normally. I expected the mulitport board to behave the same as the onboard COM port but this does not appear to be the case. What can I do?
 

Solution:
Some multiport serial cards can cause slow and problematic communications. These types of problems are particularly hard to troubleshoot. Form our experience, some boards perform better than others when coupled with CitectSCADA. When considering a multiport serial board we recommend using the Moxa range of boards.
