Summary:
I started the Internet Display Client, tried to access a page and received the error “Cannot display page”. These pages show correctly on the servers Citect instance.

Solution:
This situation sometimes arises when the project is changed; compiled and restarted and the IDC reconnects. This is due to the fact that tags used on a page that the IDC wishes to view have had their memory addresses altered as when  the projects variables are modified. Essentially the IDC retrieves the correct page but not the up-to-date tag information contained in files such as the _variabl.rdb.

A complete solution has been implemented in version 7.00 which decouples the tags dependencies on other files such as the _variabl.rdb.

In version 6.00, 6.10 and 6.10A running the IDC you must exit Citect and delete the project directory where this problem occurs. When you start the IDC again it will get the most up-to-date project files and the pages should display as expected.

Citect has confirmed this to be a problem in CitectHMI/SCADA versions 6.00 to 6.10A. This problem has been fixed in version 7.00.
