Summary:

Please advise as to what driver should be used for the GE Fanuc, VersaMax Micro 20, PLC. It’s a new model from GE and I want to make sure we can communicate to it via Ethernet. Specifically, it would be the IC200UDR120 with the optional Ethernet board IC200UEM001. The PLC is new, but the Ethernet board has been around for a bit, so there may be a driver already written. I’d like to avoid being a beta test site for a driver.

 

Solution:

According to this brochure the PLC you refer to supports the following protocols which are equivalent to the listed Citect protocols:

Ethernet SRTP = GETCP
Modbus TCP = MODNET

Make sure to use the latest available versions of these drivers from the driver web. Note though that both of these protocol drivers have been around for a considerable time and would be considered very stable and reliable.
