Summary:
I cannot connect to my ControlLogix with the ABCLX. I have desigend a test project with only one device and one tag, and I receive a "Channel offline" error on startup. However, I checked my configuration and my link to the PLC, and it is all fine. I can ping the PLC.  

Solution:
This problem may originate from a security tool installed on top of RSLOGIX that, when enabled, prevents Citect from connecting to the device.
 
Rockwell have introduced an option in their ControlLogix PLCs to be able to Secure the CPU.
" The Logix CPU Security tool was created to protect the controller from unauthorized usage. This tool prevents RSLogix 5000 software from being able to go online with the controller. "
 
This tool will also prevent Citect from connecting and will therefore need to be disabled.
