Summary:

The CitectSCADA Runtime crashes on startup if Tag Write Event Queues are enabled by setting the [General]TagWriteEventQue=1 parameter. The debug.log file may have an entry such as:

Exception 0xc0000005 occurred at location 0x004d4f58  

Solution:

To avoid the crash, disable the event queue by removing the [General]TagWriteEventQue parameter. Citect has confirmed this to be a problem in CitectHMI/SCADA versions 6.00 to 6.10. This problem has been fixed in version 6.10 Service Pack A and 7.00.
