Summary:

IODeviceInfo mode 15 worked in v6.0 when called from a display / manager Client to display the Configured Comment field. Once the project is upgraded to v7.0 / v7.1 this functionality will no longer work.  The Help documentation for v6.0 and v7.0 have also changed.

 

Solution:

For Display Clients you can use the Function MsgRPC() to send this to the IOServer Process to be executed as per instructions in KB Q4791.

This functionality loss is because information about individual devices is no longer available to
individual display clients for architectural reasons. This is by design, and is unlikely to be changed.  This is still being investigated by Support. Please contact Support for further information.
