Summary:

A project using the ABRSLINX protocol is experiencing communication dropouts or #COM.  Checking the kernel or syslog.dat file shows the following error. Driver error 0x10500.

Solution:

The 0x10500 error is a message from RSLinx that the communication has timed out in the link between RSLinx and the device.  This timeout is not affected by the timeout parameter in the Citect.ini file. 

There is scope in the RSLinx software in advanced settings to increase the timeout parameter to make allowances for slower communications, especially using radio links.
