Summary:

I am using CitectSCADA v7.0 or v7.1. There is a new "Priority" field in the IOdevice form, which allows you to manually set the order in which your standby devices are promoted.

However, I have not been able to make it work reliably.

 

Solution:

Citect has confirmed this to be a problem. The issue is under current investigation. We will post further information when available.

Currently the only supported configuration is to use the following priority order:

IO Server 1
Priority 1, priority 2

IO Server 2
Priority 3, priority 4

The above configuration is the usual sequence of priority.

Primary and 1st standby would be on one IO Server and the 2nd and 3rd standby on the other IOServer.

Any other configuration could potentially produce unreliable results.
