Summary:

By default, time-stamped alarms do not read the date from PLC, but rather get the local date from computer. If an alarm is generated at 23:59:58 Monday and there is a 3 seconds delay, Citect shows 23:59:58 Tuesday (i.e. a 24-hour shift is generated).

Solution:

Setting [Alarm]HresType = 4 in Citect.ini will cause Citect to retrieve the PLC time variable with the following format: number of seconds since 1970 and Citect can convert to the correct time and date.

NB: This may not work with millisecond timers.
