Summary:

In CitectSCADA v6.10, it appears that the rollover of history files is indeterministic in the sense that any or all processes could potentially attempt to rollover the history files for devices. As a result, it is not ideal to run CitectSCADA v6.10 in multi-process mode with devices which contain history files. 

Solution:

This issue has been rectified in CitectSCADA v7.0 in the sense that now you can actually define which CitectSCADA process will control the particular device and its history files. A new field has been added to the Devices form in the Project Editor called 'Process'.
