Summary:

When you insert a CiText.TextBox ActiveX control onto a page in the Graphics Builder and then try to edit one of the properties under the 'Appearance' > 'Font' tab, you will notice that any changes you make will not be saved:

For example, if you select the 'Bold' checkbox, press the 'Apply' button followed by the 'OK' button and then bring up the properties for the object again, the 'Bold' checkbox will remain unchecked. 

Solution:
Citect has confirmed this to be a problem with the CiText.TextBox ActiveX control which is shipped in versions 5.50, 6.00, 6.10 and 7.00. The problem has been fixed in version 7.10.
