Applies To:
  • CitectSCADA v7.0 Service Pack 2

Summary:
In CitectSCADA v7.0 prior to Service Pack 2, if the report format configured only contains cicode statements and has no output data, the property of "Output Device" is optional (i.e. not necessary to have one). This statement can be found in the help file under "reports dialog box" section.

After the application of Service Pack 2, this is no longer be true. The reports which contain only cicode statements do not seem to be run when there is no output device  in the configuration.

Solution:
You can add a dummy Output Device by creating an ASCII device (Citect Project Editor -> System -> Devices).

Then use this dummy device as an output device for the reports that are running only cicode statements. The reports then will be run properly.
