Summary:

DspGetParentAn() does not return the correct parent animation number unless the parent (the group) has input properties set

Solution:

To make DspGetParentAn() return the correct parent animation number (the group's animation number) of a grouped object without creating input properties, set the GroupProperties->Appearance/Visibility->"Hidden when" field to be 0 (zero).
