Summary:
I have installed the latest release version of the SNMPII drivers (v2.07.08.000 when this KB has been written) and I am getting the following error at Citect startup:

SNMPII : Error 0x12 on opening '<SNMP port name>'

Solution:
From SNMPII driver v2.07.06.002, SNMPVARx.DBF filenames must be unique if they are being used for different ports but can be the same if the file is a continuation of the same file in another project.

Please check that you are not using the same SNMPVAR.DBF file for all your SNMP ports. If so, please create an unique SNMP database for each of the SNMPII IODevices defined in your project. See example below:

 - SNMPVAR1.DBF for all the variable tags in IODevice 1, SNMPVAR2.DBF for all the variable tags in IODevice 2 and so on.
