Summary:
Adding a project link in the Citect Explorer that points to a network share path (i.e. UNC) results in a Citect Compiler crash every time you try to compile that project. This only occurs if you have one or more CitectVBA files in your project.

Solution:
The Compiler in all Citect versions up to and including 7.10 Service Pack 2 does not support network share paths as project links if you have CitectVBA files in your project. A Hotfix has been created for 7.10 Service Pack 1 which resolves this problem. Please contact Citect Support to request Hotfix HF710SP144437 should you require this functionality. The fix for this issue will also be included in 7.10 Service Pack 3 once it is released.

As a workaround, you could map that network share path to a driver in Windows, and then just add a project link that points to this mapped drive:
