Summary:
When using the OPC driver to connect to an OPC DA2.xx server, failed reads (#com) may occur along with the driver error 0x80004003 in the syslog.dat and kernel.

Solution:
The default setting for the OPC driver is not to use OPC DA2.xx. To connect to an OPC DA2.xx server, set the following parameter

UseOPC2=1
