Networking is built into the design of WebAccess. The basic components of WebAccess are:
SCADA Nodes connect to Automation Hardware and makes data available to the network including Clients, other SCADA Nodes and the Project Node.
Project Node is a centralized database server used by the configuration tool. Thin Clients use the Project node to view static snapshots of animated graphics. Centralized Logs of real-time date are recorded to ODBC databases.
Clients display real-time data with animated graphics and allow operators to change values, acknowledge alarms and control in real-time. Clients connect directly to a SCADA node to get real-time data.
Thin Clients display snapshots of graphics and use a text based interface to change data, acknowledge alarms and control.
