1.3.1.2                        Device Drivers and IO Tags on the SCADA node

The Device Drivers are software drivers built into WebAccess to provide communications with PLCs, DDC systems, IO and automation hardware.  The engineer or technician "configures" device drivers with Fill-in-the-Blanks forms that update the WebAccess database.  No programming is required by users, operators, technicians or engineers to implement a device driver. WebAccess Device drivers are objects that use a database to update the IO Tags.

IO Tags, Blocks and the Internal Tags (Calculation, Constant and Accumulation Tags) are object that reside on SCADA nodes.  The SCADA node acts a Tag Server to clients to provide real-time data.
