21.5.2.9                                Group

A Group is a related set of measurements, for a example a Building with multiple measurements or a campus with multiple buildings. A Group usually consists of Items, although Groups can consist of other Groups or a mix of Items and Groups.

Typical Group – Electricity, Temperature and Humidity

The most  significant use of a Group in BEMS is for associating a Temperature and Humidity with an energy resource to help interpret the pattern in energy use.

The Energy Profile has a Temperature Reference and an Humidity Reference.  These are created by building a Group with Electrical, Gas or Water items and Temperature and Humidity Items.
