4.2.25         Output High Limit

Limits changes to the value of the tag.  This is the maximum value that users and operators can assign to the tag.  An example is limiting Setpoint changes to less than the full input scale. Common uses include Setpoint Limits and Output Limits for controls.

The Output Limits affect data entered through WebAccess in the run-time VIEW including displays, dialog boxes, keymacros, data transfer function, recipes and scripts. 

If the tag is an IO Tag (for example a register in a PLC or controller) a ladder program, other third party software can change the tag in the field device directly.
