4.3.1   Parameter

This is the first step in creating a Discrete IO Tag.  You must select a Parameter that is a discrete type Parameter.   The parameter acts as a starting template for defining the features of that tag.  The important thing is to get the Data type correct, you can not change from Analog to Discrete to Text.  All other properties can be changed.

Chosen from the Pull Down List on the Add Tag properties page. Parameters are IO device driver dependant. Different drivers use different parameters. AI usually signifies an analog-type parameter.   DI or CI usually signifies discrete parameters.

Range:                    Driver Dependant.
