The Remote Access Code prevents unauthorized users from adding projects to your project or SCADA node. The Remote Access Code is established during installation of Project Node and SCADA Node software.
If someone can guess the IP Address of your SCADA node or Project Node, they could try to Add projects or Download projects to your SCADA node from another WebAccess Project. The Remote Access Code prevents another WebAccess project from downloading to your SCADA nodes.
It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to use a REMOTE ACCESS CODE during software installation. To change the remote access code or add a remote access code, you would have to re-install node software on the project node and all SCADA nodes.
