Three types of directories are supplied: common directories to store common files, personal directories for logged-in users, and role-specific directories.
The main common directory is called AllUsers. By default, this directory resides in the location \Program Files\GE Fanuc\Proficy Portal\webapps\infoAgentSrv. The AllUsers directory contains the following subdirectories:
displays – stores the common displays that come with Proficy Portal, and other displays that are accessible to all users.
images – stores common images that are available for use with Proficy Portal displays.
symbols – stores symbol files that are available for use with Proficy Portal displays.
Personal directories are stored in the Users directory. By
default, this directory resides in the location \Program Files\GE Fanuc\Proficy
Portal\webapps\infoAgentSrv\
Users. Proficy Portal names each personal directory based on
the user's login name. For example, if a user logs in with the name
jsmith, a personal directory called jsmith is created. Personal
directories contain the following subdirectories:
displays – stores displays created by the user.
eventgroups – stores event groups created by the user.
pengroups – stores pen groups created by the user.
Directories assigned to a specific role reside in the Roles directory. By default, this directory resides in the location \Program Files\GE Fanuc\Proficy Portal\webapps\infoAgentSrv. Role-specific directories contain the following subdirectories:
displays – stores displays available to members of the role.
eventgroups – stores event groups available to members of the role.
pengroups – stores pen groups available to members of the role.
With Proficy Portal, you can create subdirectories in the path \Program Files\GE Fanuc\Proficy Portal\webapps\infoAgentSrv or any of its subdirectories to organize your files. For example, you might create a Pengroups directory under AllUsers so that common pengroups are available to everyone.
