If you want your analysis displays to perform optimally, keep in mind that the following conditions may affect Proficy Portal's performance:
Configuring a chart with many pens.
Configuring an object to show a large time span.
Configuring an object that analyzes a large amount of data.
Configuring an object with a short data point interval (for example, 1 second).
Updating an object or a display frequently.
Configuring a display with multiple animated GIF graphics.
If you need to do two or more of the items listed above, you will have to balance each need to achieve satisfactory performance for your application.
If quick load times and updates are important for your users due to bandwidth or server constraints, using a minimalist design may be a good strategy. In a minimalist design, the only objects provided in a display are those that are absolutely necessary to convey information; animations and images are generally avoided.
