To merge symbol values from a symbol file

1. From the Edit menu, select Display Symbols. The Edit Display Symbols dialog box appears.

2. Click the Merge Values button. The Open Symbol File dialog box appears.

3. Select a Symbol file and click the Open button. The Merge Symbol Values dialog box appears. The source symbol file will be indicated in the Get Symbols from field.

4. To merge data sources:

5. 1. Select the Data Sources tab.

   2. Select the Merge check box for each symbol you want to merge from the source symbol file.

6. To merge properties:

7. 1. Select the Properties tab.

   2. Select the Merge check box for each symbol you want to merge from the source symbol file.

8. To merge Parameters:

9. 1. Select the Parameters tab.

   2. Select the Merge check box for each symbol you want to merge from the source symbol file.

10. When you are finished merging symbol values, click the Save Merged Symbols File button, enter the name for the symbol file, and click Save.
