Properties in the Time Component Configuration Dialog Box: General Tab 

Property

Description

Values

Name

Specifies a name for the Time Component object that will identify it when its parameters are linked to another object.

Any text or numbers.

Absolute

A specific time and/or date, such as 12:55:47 Aug 5, 2003. If the Start & End option is selected, enter an End time, as well.

Start – select a start date and time from the calendar, or place your cursor before the value you want to change and use the Up or Down arrows on your keyboard.

Stop – select an end date and time from the calendar or place your cursor before the value you want to change and use the Up or Down arrows on your keyboard.

Relative

A relative or named time, such as 1 Hour Ago or 30 Minutes Ago. If the Start & End option is selected, enter an End time, as well.

Start – select from the list box. The displayed start date/time below changes to reflect your selection.

Stop – select from the list box. The displayed stop date/time below changes to reflect your selection.

NOTE: Specific dates/times, such as Day Shift are defined in the Named Time Editor.

Range

A time range, such as Last Hour or Q1.

Range – select from the list box. The displayed Start and Stop date/time below changes to reflect your selection. For example, if you select Last Hour, the Start date/time changes to one hour before the current time (relative option). If you select Q1, the Start and Stop date/time values change to the first 3 months of the year (absolute option).

NOTE: Specific dates/times, such as Day Shift are defined in the Named Time Editor.

Start

Indicates that the start time only is displayed when the date/time option is set as either Absolute or Relative.

Start & End

Indicates that the start and end times are displayed.

Combo Box

Indicates that the time component is displayed as a combo box.

List Box

Indicates that the time component is displayed as a list box. This option is not available if Absolute is selected.

Show Update
Button

Indicates that the Update button will be used on the Time Component object during run-time. The Update check box is available only for the Absolute time options.

Selected – the Update button appears on the Time Component.

Cleared – the Update button does not appear on the Time Component.

Show Evaluate
Time

Indicates whether to show the evaluation value. For example, if you have a relative time option set with the value `1 Hour Ago', the calculated time and the `1 Hour Ago' value will both appear. If Show Evaluate Time is not selected, the calculated time only will appear. This check box is not available if Absolute is selected.

Selected – the value by which the date/time is derived is shown. This does not apply to the Absolute option.

Cleared – the value by which the date/time is derived is hidden. This does not apply to the Absolute option.
