Failed to connect to CIMPLICITY Server. Connection refused.

Failed to connect to CIMPLICITY Server. No route to host.

The CIMPLICITY Server couldn't find the appropriate CimView session.

CimView will terminate because CIMPLICITY has stopped.

The connection to the CIMPLICITY Server has been closed.

The Network Settings are incorrect.

Message

Failed to connect to CIMPLICITY server. Connection refused.

 

Cause

The ThinView server is not running or was stopped while you were connected.

 

Solution

Notify the system administrator that the CIMPLICITY server is down.

Failed to Connect to CIMPLICITY Server. No Route to Host

Message

Failed to connect to CIMPLICITY server. No route to host.

 

Cause

The network layers are currently initializing.

 

Solution

Try again in a few seconds after the network is initialized. If ThinView gets this message while it is reconnecting it will try again automatically.

The CIMPLICITY Server Couldn't Find the Appropriate CimView Session

Message

CIMPLICITY Server couldn't find the appropriate CimView session.

 

Cause

An action you performed caused the current CimView screen to close. (For example, you clicked a Close Screen button on the screen.)

 

Solution

Re-open the screen using the specific methods available to you in your project's configuration.

 

Cause

The session timed out.

 

Solution

Establish a new connection with the server.

 

Cause

Your ThinView session is no longer active on the server.

 

Solution

Contact your system administrator.

 

Cause

The session was stopped on the server computer (using the CIMPLICITY Options) dialog.

 

Solution

Contact your system administrator.

CimView will Terminate because CIMPLICITY has Stopped

Message

Cause

The project you were viewing was stopped on the server.

 

Solution

Contact your system administrator.

The Connection to the CIMPLICITY Server has been Closed…

Message

Connection to the CIMPLICITY server has been closed at your request.

 

Cause

You used the Disconnect item on the Tools menu.

 

Solution

Establish a new connection with the server.

The Network Settings are Incorrect

Solution

Check the network settings.

  1. Open the Windows Control Panel on the hand-held PC.

  2. Double-click the Network icon.

The Network Configuration dialog box opens.

  1. Select the Adapter tab.

  2. Select the PROXIM Ethernet driver.

  3. Click Properties.

The PROXIM Ethernet Driver Settings dialog box opens.

  1. Examine the properties of the PROXIM Ethernet driver.

  2. Check with your system administrator to verify that the settings are correct.
