To set up security in CitectSCADA you need to consider the
following:
Areas - An area is a section of
the plant. It can be defined geographically or logically.
Privileges - Level of access
applied to system elements within your project. A user assigned a
role that possesses the matching privilege can control it.
Roles - A defined set of
permissions (privileges and areas) that are assigned to users.
Users - A person or group of
persons that need to access to the runtime system.
Before configuring security within your project
you will need to have a thorough understanding of these four
aspects, and how they work together.
