A network project can be operated from all stations (server, standby, clients) in the same way. So it can happen, that two users on two different stations set different values for the same variable. This is no problem for the control system. Both actions are executed. The later value overwrites the earlier one.
The control system however offers you the possibility to allow the operation of the project only from one station at the time. In this case a user has to get the authorization, before he can operate the project. Operating in this case means an active intervention in the process (setting values, executing recipes, acknowledging alarms, etc.). Opening picture, reading lists, etc. still is possible from all stations.
