The control system Runtime requires the existence of certain system files. In case one of these files is missing, the operating system sends an error message during Runtime start, that one or various components have not been found.

The following system files are required: (x ist he particular CE version)

MFCCEx00.dll

Necessary for the Runtime. On starting an error message occurs, if this file does not exist.

OLECEx00.dll

Necessary for the Runtime. On starting an error message occurs, if this file does not exist.

ATLCEx00.dll

Not necessary for starting the Runtime but for the use of drivers with network connections or the use of zenon in a network. If this file does not exist, the device will not work as a client resp. TCP/IP driver connections will not work.

IMGDECMP.dll

Not necessary for starting the Runtime. This file is needed for displaying GIF files in the Runtime.
From version 6.21 on, this file is no longer needed. GIF files can now be displayed without the DLL under CE 4 and CE 5.
Animation of GIF files is not possible in Windows CE.

VBSCRIPT.dll + JSCRIPT.dll

Not necessary for starting the Runtime. This file is needed for the PCE (Process Control Engine).

Some of these Windows CE system files are stored in the subdirectory ..\\CE\\CEx.xx_xxxx\\System with the installation of the CE version of zenon and can be transferred to the CE device with e.g. the Remote Transport or the UpdateCE tool.

Usually these system files should be integrated in the image of the panel by the manufacturer of the device.

attention Attention

To guarantee that the file TOOLHELP.DLL is available on the CE device and Toolhelp in SDK as well, please add:
Under: Core OS -> Display Based Device ->Core OS Services -> Debugging Tools, select Toolhelp API . So the Toolhelp.dll is part of the image.
Please always use the latest service pack of the platform builder.
