Summary:
I want to know if the Allen-Bradley 1785-ENet module (also referred to as the 1785 side-car ethernet module) can be used the Citect's ABTCP driver. 

Solution:
Yes. Allen-Bradley have informed CiT that as far as Citect is concerned the module is compatible with the ABTCP protocol Citect uses. However, the following performance limitations should be noted:
  • On-board Ethernet port capable of 50,000+ words/sec
  • Side-car 1785-Enet module capable of 20,000+ words/sec

Note: The Allen-Bradley documentation should be referred to in preference to these figures as Allen-Bradley may change their specifications without notice
