Summary:
I have an IDC server and client setup with a big project.  Download takes a long time and I would like to know what files the IDC client needs and when it will download them. 

Solution:
The IDC Client automatically downloads the following files only -

*.CTF

*.CTG

*.RDB

English.DBF

Changes.NDX

Citect.PAL

Pages relating to graphics pages are only downloaded as the IDC client changes pages and requests the files. The IDC client downloads all files via an FTP cache in the Temporary Internet Files directory for the user currently logged on to Windows.

If the FTP cache does not match the target files, then the client checks the files in the project directory and if they do not match the files on the server they will be downloaded. See also KB Q2847.
