Summary:
Due to a DLL name clash with Microsoft, the Citect ICMP driver ( citect\bin\icmp.dll) needs to be renamed or deleted.

This issue affects all Citect drivers using IP (TCP or UDP) to communicate.

 

Solution:
In Citect V5.40, the ICMP driver has been renamed to CTICMP. Refer also to articles Q3214 and Q3221.

For those wanting to use the existing ICMP driver, a standalone driver install pack is available for CTICMP. Contact your local Citect Support office.
