NOTE: Error/wait icon options can be set for all displays (Edit Application Preferences), or for the current display (Edit Current Display Settings). Display-level settings take precedence over Application-level settings.
If you are configuring error/wait icon options for all displays, from the Edit menu, choose Application Preferences. The Edit Application Preferences dialog box appears.

If you are configuring error/wait icon options for the current display, from the Edit menu, select Current Display Settings. The Edit Current Display Settings dialog box appears.
Click the Error & Wait Icons tab.
Make changes to error icon settings:
To enable error icons, select the Enabled check box.
If you want the user to be able to hide the error icon until the next error occurs, select the Allow Hiding check box.
To change the positioning of the error icon on the display window, select either the Top Left or Top Right option.
To set a different image for the error icon, click the ellipsis button and select the image from the AllUsers/Images directory. Click Select.
NOTE: When you change the error or wait icon, the new icon will appear in new displays only. Pre-existing displays will use the original error/wait icon.
Make changes to the wait icon settings:
To enable wait icons, select the Enabled check box.
In the Delay box, enter the amount of time (in seconds) that can pass while a component is retrieving data, before the wait icon will appear.
To change the positioning of the wait icon on the display window, select either the Top Left or Top Right option.
To set a different image for the wait icon, click the ellipsis button and select the image from the AllUsers/Images directory. Click Select.
