To install Proficy licensing:

  1. Install your Proficy products and options.

Follow the installation directions for each of your Proficy products.

IMPORTANT: Attach the hardware key to the server only after you install all of the licensed products, and do not remove the key while the application is running. If you do remove the key while the application is running, the application will need to be restarted, and the key may become damaged.

  1. Attach the hardware key to the server. Insert the key into either the parallel or USB port, depending on the kind of key you ordered. At this time, GE Fanuc does not support USB keys connected through an external USB hub.

  2. If you are installing a parallel port key, reconnect equipment to the back of the hardware key, as required.

  1. Review the license report and make changes, as required.

To run the license viewer:

  1. From the Windows Start menu, point to Programs, then Proficy Common, and then choose License Viewer.

The Management Console window opens.

The following figure and legend describes what you see in the Management Console window:

The left pane displays icons for each of your licensed Proficy products.

Click an icon to select it. Details display in the right pane that correspond to the selected Proficy product.

NOTE: You can click the Show All button on the Management Console toolbar to display details about all the licensed products on the same page.

The right pane in the Management Console displays the:

  • License key details.

  • Customer name

  • License key version

  • License type

  • License details for the selected product(s), including:
